Improving DFT-Based Image Watermarking Using Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Robust digital image watermarking is an information security technique that has been widely used to solve several issues related mainly with copyright protection as well ownership authentication. In general terms, robust conceals a small signal called “watermark” in host form imperceptible human vision. The efficiency of conventional based on frequency domain depend directly the results performance terms robustness and imperceptibility. According application scenario dataset, it common practice adjust key parameters by methods experimental form; however, this manual adjustment may involve exhaustive tasks at same time be drawback practical scenarios. recent years, optimization techniques have adopted allowing adjusting automatic its operation parameters, improving thus performance. context, paper proposes improved algorithm discrete Fourier transform via spread spectrum, optimizing particularly amounts bands coefficients watermark strength factor using particle swarm conjunction visual fidelity bit correct rate criteria. Experimental obtained research show against processing geometric distortions, preserving high quality color images. Performance comparison proposal provided, current state-of-the-art applied watermarking.
